About the Organisation :

YouCanFreeUs is an international human rights organisation that fights modern slavery worldwide through advocacy, rescue, and rehabilitation. Our Fight against modern slavery began in 2010. Since then, we have rescued and successfully rehabilitated hundreds of women and children through our strategic intervention hubs, safe houses, and training centres worldwide.

Udaan is a child labour prevention initiative of YouCanFreeUs created to serve children at risk of being trafficked or forced into child labour. Each child in Udaan receives a quality education and mentorship in a safe, beautiful facility with trained staff. We also have a dedicated building that imparts employable life skills to the children, and our staff team conducts regular workshops for parents in the community on topics such as health and hygiene, parenting, and literacy.

Job Description :

Looking for Teachers/Community Social Workers in our Bithari Child Development Center

A degree in education or a relevant field, additional teaching, and an educational license/certificate will be an advantage. · In-depth knowledge of child development and the latest education theories and practices. · Must enjoy working with children with creative and artistic teaching abilities, patience and flexibility, and outstanding communication. · Interpersonal and leadership skills, knowledge of office administration, and conducting events. · Community work is also a part of this role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. To Prepare a curriculum and execute lesson plans
2. Engage children in Activity-Based Learning ABL.
3. Maintain class attendance register, files, and documents for each child.
4. Teaching Value Education and Life Skills.
5. Coordinate Mid-Day Meals.
6. Conduct parents’ teacher's meetings once every month.
7. Visit the community and maintain rapport with parents.
8. Report to Project manager.

Place – Bithari, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal (Located on the outskirts of Kolkata)
