Job Summary:

As an Assistant Teacher, this role is to support the lead teacher in creating a positive, productive, and safe learning environment for students. Assist with lesson planning, classroom management, and one-on-one support for students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Pre-Primary Assistant Teacher:

  1. Support the lead teacher in planning and executing daily lesson plans, activities, and classroom routines.
  2. Help manage the classroom, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young learners.
  3. Assist in conducting hands-on activities, art and craft sessions, storytelling, and play-based learning.
  4. Provide individual attention to students who require additional support.
  5. Supervise and guide students during meals, nap time, and outdoor activities.
  6. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and discipline in the classroom.

Collaboration and Communication:

  1. Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth coordination of pre-primary assistance responsibilities.
  2. Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Qualification:

Certification or diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is preferred for the pre-primary assistant role.

Experence:

Experience workimg with young children in a pri-primary setting is highly desirable .

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Planning and Implementation:
    1. Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that cater to the developmental needs of pre-primary students (typically ages 3-6).
    2. Incorporate play-based learning, hands-on activities, and interactive teaching methods.
    3. Use various teaching strategies to promote critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning.
    4. Ensure alignment with school curriculum standards (e.g., Montessori, playway method, CBSE, IGCSE).
  2. Management:
    1. Maintain a nurturing and safe classroom environment where children feel secure and respected.
    2. Manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement and gentle guidance.
    3. Foster a cooperative and inclusive learning space.
  3. Student Development:
    1. Assess students' academic, social, and emotional growth, and provide feedback to parents and administrators.
    2. Work with children individually or in small groups to address specific developmental needs.

  4. Parent Communication:
